Customer Reviews about Dr. Aaron M. Amos, MD

  • Very great experience with Dr. Amos. He was very thorough and understanding and very helpful on my particular case. As I listen to him explain it became very clear that I would like him to be my perminant Urologist and I would recommend him to everyone I know.

A month ago when I woke up my bedside urine bag was full of blood. I called the office of USMD Mansfield Urology to see about getting help. The staff hung up on me. Then I called again and once again they hung up on me. I then called the USMD corporate office. They assured me that someone would be contacting me. One of their offices finally after a few hours did contact me to tell me that the Mansfield USMD lines were down and that someone will be contacting me. This was on a Thursday. No one ever contacting me that day or the next or that weekend. I had a appointment that Monday at 3:20. So I just though surely I could talk to someone then. Was running a little behind because I live alone and am a quadriplegic it takes me a little bit to get going. So I called their office to let them know I was running behind. They told me as long as I was there by 3:20 I should be ok. It's a half hour drive from where I live here in Burleson. After I get there they tell me that they could not change my cath because of new policy change and they tried to call me. A doctor has to be present in the office in order for the nurse to change out the Foley catheter. In the 12 years I went to this doctor. Only a hand full of times was the doctor there. This was a lie and they should had told me this before I drove all the way there. Then they handed me a foley cath to change myself. I have no dexterity in my fingers. At this point I still don't know why my kidneys are bleeding. Had to go to the ER the next day to get help with my cath change and to figure out why my kidneys were bleeding. I live alone and don't qualify for home health because Medicare says I am too independent. Medicares reason is because I drive. This is why I had no one to change my cath and had to go to the ER. If I were you I would stay clear of this doctor and anyone considering using any of the USMD Urologists.
