  I was having an issue with a bad taste/smell coming from the back of my mouth on the upper right side. This just started a few days ago and I usually visit the dentist every 6 months but, I now own my own business and getting away for a Dr. appointment is somewhat difficult, so it has been 1.5 years since my last visit. Needless to say, I made an appointment with my dentist for a check-up. I mentioned the problem and they didn't see anything wrong with the X-rays or the condition of my mouth and that is where they left it. This was not going to work, I knew there was a problem. I contacted Dr. Carney and made an appointment since he is a specialist and treats gum issues. He took X-rays and found nothing wrong with them but, he didn't stop there. After closer examination he found something below the gum line on my molar. It was red and very hard. It turns out that it was bonding cement from when I had braces.......in the early 90's! He removed it and the tase/smell is gone! He and his assistant were extremely proffesional and didn't stop until the problem was solved. It is hard to find people this dedicated to their work these days. Thank you very much Dr. Carney!
